Presumed Consent for Organ Donation: An Incoherent Justification

The difference between supply and demand of transplantable organs is a global problem, one the most discussed measures aiming to solve it implementation presumed consent (opt-out) policy in cadaveric organ donation. This type system controversial when comes its direct effects on donation rates as well ethical base. We aim present latest perspectives concerning implications policy, especially regarding consent: need, coherence presuming policy’s capacity fulfill requirements. From community perspective, we advocate default change societies with an opt-out system, strong population education that direction. potential rights family objection are also approached differences theoretical discussion concrete application public policy.
